Personally, I really like the thinkpad design and I think it looks great !! I used for my computer and i love the thinkpad !! really reliable !!! but SL 410 the CPU is a little bit slow !!
but the G560 has the ten-key pad …!!!!

Hi all,

I have a working directory at work on my office PC. And I some times do work at home at my home PC. And I also keep a copy on my laptop. Due to company policies, I have to use USB drive to copy and paste from one computer to another. I keep adding/deleting/modifying files on these three computers and the directories are now a mess. I lost track about which PC keeps which version of my work and when the files get more and more the whole situation becomes a nightmare.

Could anybody recommend a good and effective sync software to handle these things, esp. the sync through the USB drive? I assume the software should not only copy and paste, but also resolve the conflicts by merging and asking me to decide how to merge or discard files/changes.

I need the best sync software to boost my productivity. Thanks a lot!

Google Calendar is a great web-based software to schedule everything from meetings, dinners, birthdays and more. It is very easy to use, just type in "5pm Dinner with Ryan" and Google Calendar will process it to be 5pm that day and subject as Dinner with Ryan.

Its smart enough to make adding events easy. There are also a lot of other good features. The other great thing is to set reminders on it. Google calendar will send a text message to your cell phone to remind you before your event (you can see how early you want to be reminded for each event).

Another online service that I use with Google Calendar to manage my busy lifestyle is Goosync.com They have a free trial version if your cell phone can support Synchronizing wirelessly. Final plug I suppose would be my cell phone, Motorola Ming A1200, which is an awesome phone that supports synchronizing my cell phone calendar with Google Calendar through GooSync.

This solution doesn’t deal with goals directly, but if you can split up your goals into "tasks to be completed", step by step, then this will work. That is what I do too, since goals is sort of intangible, you do have to translate it into something that’s achievable task by task.

Tell me about your experiences with the following:
Daily Planning, Software, Phone, Palm Pilot, Small spiral notebook? Do you know anyone who is highly productive how do they do it? My best thought thus far is if you think of it do it then and now. My problem is i can have more thoughts than I can actually do at any given time. I am kind of a researcher with a touch of perfectionist and I can’t keep up with myself. Get a laptop…you can always put down all your ideas or even draw pictures lol….a computer can do more than any handheld device.

My company owns a Ms Windows Server Standard Edition. There were 24 users attached to the Server through network. There was problem of missing files/folders (the access to the file is shared) occassionally. I suspected that some users accidently delete the file. I need to have the evidence or appropriate log file that can track which user and their activity on the particular file. Futhermore, it will be an advantage if it can track down the productivity of the users.

I am looking for a program, online or off, that allows me to make goals and update how close I am to completion with a visual progress bar. Preferably, it should be free software (that doesn’t have to be open-source or anything like that).

Most people would do that with a spreadsheet

What I mean by light gaming is:
Second Life (medium settings)
The Sims 2 (medium, high settings)

Multitasking, I want to have things running at the same time such as MS word, Internet with several tabs and that’s it
