Impressed with what you have put down there mate. The Open University doesn't have formal entry requirements. However, you will probably need to be working with Young People during your studies to meet the JNC requirements.

"Application software" is a more general term that can apply to any computer programme that is intended for use by the end user. The term "System software" refers to programmes that make the operating system go, regardless of what you want to achieve. The term "Desktop productivity software" usually refers to the set of user applications that do typical document authoring, editing, and preparation. Examples would be LibreOffice, OpenOffice, KOffice, and even Microsoft Office. Desktop productivity usually means word processing, spreadsheets, slide shows, simple drawings and illustrations. Even email and chat programmes can be included.

It has been my experience that if I apply for a job without investigating the company first; that I have to take what comes without complaint.
If I allow my attitude to change to a negative after accepting such a job then all the problems become mine.
If OTOH I keep the positive attitude I had when I applied then the problems belong to the owner and all I have to do is my job and collect my check.
If you are the hotshot graduate you claim to be then go out and get the job that you know you can do instead of working for Tom, Dick and Harry, etc.

HP or the Asus. Dell is out first off. The HP only has an I5 but it should be the better choice due to the 12Gb of RAM and 3GB video card. Unfortunately its not DDR5 but its not as pricey either.

I’d say HP on this one

PS. Ignore the first answer about the dell.. that guy is obviously not knowledgeable. Dells mostly used with their servers. Their not so good with desktop and laptop performance.

The course description that you've provided indicates what you're expected to be able to accomplish in order to pass it. You're expected to display a certain level of competency in the following types of application programs: word processing, spreadsheet, presentation software and database management system software.Considering the questons that you've asked, you'd be better off taking the course and learning from it.
